Singer launches the One Plus, its latest and most advanced sewing machine
and it looks amazing!
Singer has just launched the new One Plus. For those who loved the vintage looks of the Singer One, this stylish new machine now has plenty of space for larger projects combining its advanced sewing features with key user-friendly features too.
The Singer One Plus is one of the company’s easiest machines to use and incorporates the SwiftSmart threading system with automatic needle threader enabling sewers to guide the thread directly from the spool to the needle and thread the needle by pressing the lever for simple one-touch threading.
Other features include a Drop & Sew bobbin system with automatic bobbin thread pick-up; a Machine Intro DVD, and a Presser Foot Sensor, which ensures the presser foot is in the proper position for an easy start. This machine won’t begin to sew if the presser foot is raised so reducing the chance of threads bunching. Advanced features like Programmable Needle Up / Down for quilting and appliqué-ing, Pattern Elongation, Stitch Memory with Editing, which allows you to save and edit select stitch combinations to create personalised patterns and designs, and Automatic Twin Needle Control are also available.
The machine also has an LCD Screen with Stitch Selection Dial providing clear and easy viewing of stitch settings including the number of the selected stitch, an image of the selected stitch, and stitch width and stitch length settings. A Start/Stop Button with Speed Control means the user can sew easily at their own speed with or without the foot control whilst the machine’s arm, which measures 14.7 inches, provides an extra large work area making it ideal for quilting, home décor sewing or when working with other large projects.
The Singer One Plus has 231 built-in stitches (7 essential stitches, 5 stretch stitches, 212 decorative stitches, 6 fully automatic 1-step button holes and an endless buttonhole) as well as a block alphabet and numbers so stitchers can personalise projects by adding a monogram, name or phrase.
