The Lazy Daisy Jones pattern is due to be added to Simplicity's websitemid to late March
but it's already causing a bit of a buzz!
Always on the lookout for the latest talent on the sewing circuit, Simplicity – sewing pattern specialist- has joined forces with the talented Lazy Daisy Jones to create a stand out pattern as part of its latest spring collection. Calling on her passion for colour and textiles, Ashley Cramp, the name behind the Lazy Daisy Jones name, has created pattern 8087 for Simplicity – featuring a simple ‘A’ line dress and tunic, with raglan sleeve detail, with flattering shoulder cover.
Designed to suit all sewing levels, whether you’re a relative newcomer to the world of sewing or have been crafting away for years, the pattern is a zipless design and can simply be pulled over your head – making it quick and easy to complete. The pattern also includes makes for adults and children, offering two different projects within the same pattern – so all bases are covered, whether you’re looking to create something for yourself or a special outfit for a younger relative or family friend.
Commenting on the collaboration with Simplicity, Ashley commented: “Working with Simplicity to create this pattern has been absolutely amazing. Having started sewing from a young age, Simplicity has always been a part of my life and I love using their patterns to create my next make. I’m still finding it hard to believe that my own design will be available for all to buy from the Simplicity site, it really is a case of pinching myself!’
Giving stitchers the freedom to create stylish clothes that reflect their own personal taste, the Lazy Daisy Jones pattern is one of many modern makes available from the Simplicity website. The panel design allows sewing enthusiasts to play around with multiple fabric combinations, giving sewers the chance to have fun with their Simplicity make.
Describing how the link up with Lazy Daisy Jones came about, Simplicity’s Richard Cawthra, said, "At Simplicity, we’ve always looking out for fresh talent, so we can offer our customers the latest must-have patterns that are exciting to sew. We’ve found just that in Lazy Daisy Jones! We loved Ashley’s practical approach to dressmaking, creating a pattern with plenty of pockets – so that stitchers can create a wearable garment that looks great at the same time.”
