Hello, we are a mother & daughter team, Julie & Emily and together we are The Pattern Pages
Welcome to the home of the first digital dressmaking magazine. We're mother & daughter team Julie & Emily, and together we bring you The Pattern Pages. A fantastic resource for dressmakers & sewists that love fashion as much as we do.
Whether you're a beginner or experienced sewer, it's our goal to bring you the latest sewing patterns, fashion trends, new products and stitch news,
including great advice to improve your sewing skills.
Enjoy and happy sewing
We're on a mission...
Things have changed in the sewing industry over the last few years. Today, there's so many exciting new independent pattern companies, dressmaking bloggers out there as well as the major commercial companies, but there's no longer a magazine dedicated solely to dressmaking, so in 2017, we created The Pattern Pages digital magazine. We aim to keep you posted with all the latest sewing pattern news and where to buy them. Plus the fashion trends for the seasons and how to replicate them in your sewing. We also have lots of sewing tips and advice to help you make your own clothes look the best they can.
The story of The Pattern Pages
"The Pattern Pages website started off as a hobby for us but last year, we decided to take the plunge and produce our own digital dressmaking magazine for you. It was scary but we realised that there was gap in the market for a fashion-led magazine for dressmakers and sewers who loved fashion and wanted their sewing hobby to relate to high street fashion like us, and also who were interested in the fabric and pattern designers behind the patterns that we've all grown to love," says Emily Bonnar, part of the mother & daughter team behind The Pattern Pages.
"We've had incredible feedback from those in the sewing industry, and we couldn't have made it the success it has been without the thousands of dressmakers and sewers that have taken the time to download, read and enjoy the issues so far so it's a HUGE thank you to everyone! We don't have a big publisher behind us but we're able to offer you a quarterly magazine for fashion sewists that's different from the rest as part of our new VIP dressmaker club," explains Julie Bonnar, part of the mother & daughter team behind The Pattern Pages.
