Sew Over It launches free sewing classes on YouTube

Free sewing classes on YouTube – Lisa Comfort from Sew Over It, the UK’s friendliest sewing brand, is creating live-streamed video Sewalongs on her YouTube channel every day to get Britain sewing again! During these anxious times, why not stay home and sew along with Lisa.

During the Coronavirus pandemic, Public Health England (PHE) is encouraging us to take up a new hobby to help look after our mental health. Sewing is the perfect lockdown hobby for kids and adults alike. It’s easy to learn, anxiety busting and gives everyone a huge sense of achievement!

To get kids sewing, every Monday at 1pm Lisa is doing a weekly ‘Sewing with Kids’ Sewalong. Kids can learn to make cute felt monsters and rainbows, and customise clothes. Every Monday at 2pm, tune in to learn beginner skills. Learn how to thread a sewing machine, hem and mend clothes. Or try your hand at embroidery or make simple projects like cushions or tote bags.

All Sewalongs are being live streamed on YouTube at 1pm GMT every week day. The Sew Over It YouTube Channel now has 53,600 subscribers. It’s supported by over 166,000 followers on Sew Over It’s social media channels too.

Sew Over It wants everyone to share their projects using the hashtag #stayhomeandsewalong
