NOW & THEN sewing patterns
Til the Sun Goes Down is known for its fabrics that are inspired by 1920's to 1960's but Andree Holden behind this vintage business has now launched her own range of patterns
There's 3 sewing patterns to choose from so far.
"I was always being asked at shows if I had the patterns for the samples that I had with me. These were dresses and blouse that I had made for myself so that people could see what my fabrics looked like made up into a garment. I design the prints, and get them made for me. In the summer, I eventually got the patterns graded and produced in the UK and launched them in September." Andree explains.
Amelie Tuck Blouse
This blouse takes its inspiration from 1930's. It's very feminine and has tuck details at the front and back waist and can be made with either a fluted sleeve and an inverted pleat or made sleeveless. There's also a choice of two collars - double pointed or more traditional sleeker chelsea collar.
Clara Bow Blouse
This is a really versatile blouse pattern with four style options - short and long sleeves either straight or gathered versions. It's very economical on the fabric too.
This dress sewing pattern is simple and has a bias-cut skirt that creates a very drapey and fluid skirt. The slightly above natural waistline seam seems to make your legs look longer and also give you a small waist. It gently gathers from a piped shoulder yoke give extra shaping and has a bound neckline. With short, straight and a long sleeve options with gathers on the sleeve head, there's plenty of choice.
NOW & THEN Patterns come in sizes 8 - 18 and cost £16 for both of the blouses and £18 for the dress and can be purchased from Til the Sun Goes Down.
