Poppy & Jazz baby and toddler sewing patterns from Lisa Comfort
If you like making clothes for tinier people then you're going to love Lisa Comfort's new collection of baby and toddler patterns – Poppy & Jazz
Lisa Comfort has just launched her brand new range of baby sewing patterns, Poppy & Jazz. Named after her dog Poppy, and her one year old daughter Jasmine, Poppy & Jazz patterns are designed for babies and toddlers between 0-3 and 24 months. After spending the last year enjoying making clothes for Jasmine, Lisa couldn't resist building on her range of popular sewing patterns, and the collection was born!
The range is made up of five easy-to-sew patterns, perfect for beginner sewers onwards. The designs are simple, practical and exactly what you want to dress your little one in everyday. They're available in a handy digital PDF format, and the patterns are all £5.
The collection includes:
Daisy Dress - when Lisa dreamed of having a little girl she knew she'd have to make her a cotton dress with a peter pan collar. A nod to her favourite era, the '50s, it makes a great little party outfit. Jasmine wore her Daisy Dress to her first birthday. The pattern features a sweet little bodice, gathered skirt, cap sleeves and a peter pan collar. It opens up completely at the back to make dressing easy, and the design makes it perfect for fun contrasting fabrics!
Dandelion Dungarees - Reversible items are so useful as they can be quickly switched round if lunch stains one side!, so Lisa has designed a pair of double-sided dungarees. The Dandelion Dungarees fasten with poppers, and have extra long straps to allow for growth. Super easy to sew, they're a great project for beginners with little or no dressmaking experience.
Honeydew Hoodie - like the dungarees, the Honeydew Hoodie is reversible, which gives you the chance to use two fun fabrics! With a hood, long sleeves and a double-breasted front, it makes a lovely snuggly coat. It fastens with six poppers at the front.
Tangerine Trousers - when Jasmine was very little all her RTW trousers had narrow waistbands which dug into her tummy, so when Lisa designed the Tangerine Trousers it was important that the waistband was nice and wide and comfy. They can be worn open at the ankle but also come with the option to add feet, which means no more lost socks!
Strawberry Sweatshirt - super simple and easy to make, the Strawberry Sweatshirt is a great addition to a little one's wardrobe. Designed to be sewn in french terry or ponte, it's a great first knit fabric project for any beginner. Leave it plain for everyday, or have fun "jazzing" it up with applique or embroidery!
