Making your own coat is probably one of the most challenging but also is one of the most rewarding things to sew!
This fitted coat is stylish and will keep you extra warm. The classic feminine style is offset with a striking fake fur collar and turn-up cuffs. The hip length jacket has a a tie belt and can be made with a contrasting fabric collar.
A great pattern pack with two totally different styles to choose from. The longer raglan jacket here has been made up in classic Hound-tooth fabric and the short jacket has cropped sleeves and a small collar. Both are perfect for teaming up with tailored trousers or pencil skirts.
Another pattern with options for sporty jackets for in between seasons. Choose the jacket with parka styling details including a hood, patch pockets, flaps and a drawstring casing. Add some funky patches to get the utility look or make with popular trench coat details like the collar, back yoke and tie belt.
Both the long jacket and the short coat feature a shapely high waist. A small frill is caught in at the seam in the view shown below but there's also an option ofr a slightly gathered waistline. Pockets are sewn in at the front panel seams or at the side seams.
The new season wouldn't be complete without a trendy jacket in fake fur. Choose a blouson style with rib knit band at hem and collar, or use a single fabric for a luxury look for the entire garment.
Longer blouson jackets with a drawstring waist are ideal for everyday wear. Choose either a stand collar or a simple round neckline. The casing can be drawstring or elastic.
