Basics Tunic from Folkwear

This is just one of five new pattern releases based on folk and historic clothing from this sewing pattern brand!

The Basics Tunic from Folkwear is an easy-sew top with a handkerchief hem and side vents. While the word tunic comes from the Latin tunica, the tunic was not invented by the Romans, and can be found in ancient art from South America to South East Asia. The fit is roomy and loose. With dolman, three-quarter length sleeves, it’s a comfortable and stylish piece to wear over leggings or jeans. The high neckline is closed in the back with a hook-and-eye at the slit.  Gorgeous in silk for a dressy look or perfect in crumpled linen – this tunic can be an everyday piece to wear again and again. The sewing pattern comes in sizes XS-3XL.
