The Chameleon Dress from Pattern Cutting Deconstructed is a pattern that will show you how to create a simple style dress. But is very changebale with its four fun statement sleeves. Like a Chameleon it’s the perfect base for those that love pattern hacking. The sleeves draw from the Japanese art of paper folding, origami. This dress has an easy fit, back zip, and comes in three lengths. Two styles B and C have in-seam pockets too.

The Caldera and Lantern sleeves are loose fitting and finish just above the elbow. The Victoriana sleeve is bracelet length with a balloon shape and sits away from the arm. The Morigami sleeve is semi-loose fitting and finishes between the shoulder and the elbow. The pattern comes with a layered sleeve block (10 – 24) and ½-scale sleeve block.

The pattern is perfect for woven, medium weight fabrics with some body. Fabrics like linen, cotton and blends, as well as silk dupion, taffeta, satin, lightweight denim, drill and crepe. The pattern comes in sizes 10-24.
