Emerson Trouser & Shorts from True Bias

Great to see this sewing pattern re-released with high rise fit – a more comfortable beginner-friendly sewing pattern

The Emerson Pant and Short sewing pattern from True Bias now has a high rise fit in addition to the original mid rise fit. The sewing pattern is now available as both a paper and a PDF pattern to suit your sewing preference.

This trouser pattern is super beginner-friendly option and has been designed to wear with the Odgen Cami from True Bias. Make both the cami and trousers in the same fabric to get the look of a jumpsuit but without the disadvantages of a one-piece.

The pattern features pull-on crop trousers (and shorts) with an elasticated back and flattering front waistband. Views A and B have a mid rise that sits just below the natural waist. We love Views C and D have a high rise that sits over the belly button. All options have front pleats and side pockets. Views A and C are a cropped, wide leg pant, hitting a couple of inches above the ankle. Views B and D are a short with an approximate 4 inch inseam.

This trouser sewing pattern is ideal for light to medium weight woven fabrics such as linen, cotton, rayon challis, and chambray. The patterns comes in sizes 0-18 (US).
