Iris Top from Sew Me Something

Great adaptable and flattering new top sewing pattern for every occasion

The Iris Top is almost a tunic and could be lengthened. The sewing pattern features princess  seams, which run down the over the bust for a better fit and make for easy adaptations too.

Version 1 has pretty flounces inserted into the vertical princess seams and they act as a faux sleeve to cover the tops of your arms while version 2 is a simpler more everyday top with an elegant Peter Pan collar to finish off the neckline. The best fabrics to make include cotton lawn, cotton poplin, linen, satin crepe, charmeuse, viscose rayon and lightweight needlecord. The pattern is available in sizes 8-22 (UK).
