Pona Jacket from Helen’s Closet

This jacket is a contemporary outer layer, which is as easy to make and it is to style!

No closures are necessary as an extra-wide facing allows this unlined jacket to drape open in the front. Pona has an oversized blazer feel, complete with pockets and a statement lapel. Make the modern, cropped version in linen for warmer weather or a longer jacket in wool for fall and winter. Suggested fabrics include light to medium weight fabrics with no stretch, such as mid-weight linen or cotton, corduroy, and wool or for the a lighter-weight, drapey fabric, choose Tencel twill for a more fluid look. This sewing pattern is a perfect beginner jacket pattern and comes in a wide range of sizes from 0-30.
