Introducing two new sewing patterns that are fun and fast to make!
These two fun sewing patterns sew up fast, and are super flattering on all body shapes and have those special Christine Jonson features. This time including high, fitted armholes, a clever wrap pant that has a full elastic waist and elegant front wrap panels, full front facing for a ‘no-neckline-hemming’ finish, plus any sleeve length option you’d want to sew.
The Flyaway Top is an easy to sew flowy top and features a longer curved hem and cross wrapped front. This top can be worn sleeveless as a bra-friendly camisole style or it can be made with sleeves at elbow length, 3/4 sleeves or long sleeves. The top is perfect under your favourite blazer or cardigan with jeans, or it can be paired with the Wrap Pants (above) and worn as an elegant evening outfit with statement jewellery, sewn in a casual print knit or worn as a matching lounge set.
The Wrap Pants sewing pattern is elegant to wear wrap pant style featuring a full elastic waist with front overlay and ties. The pant pattern features an elastic waist that is sewn in two parts like a traditional wrap pant, but then joined, so the wrap pants don’t need to come completely unwrapped to get out of! The trouser features a full-length overlap, allowing you to show as much leg as you want, while still being covered. You can even crop the pant to a midi length. Designed for either knit or woven fabrics with good drape, you can sew these in ponte or rayon jersey or woven fabrics like rayon or linen. They can be dressed up in black stretch crepe or ITY, casual in rayon/lycra or linen, or even as pyjama pants in a soft jersey.
Both of these sewing patterns are beginner-friendly garments that fit well and available in sizes XS-MD and LG-XXL
