Seamwork has just released another two great sewing patterns that are ideal for beginners
The Dani Pinafore is ideal for both casual workwear and as a cool layering piece for the weekend. It features a stylish A-line silhouette that hits at the mid-thigh. The V-neck falls 1 to 2 inches below the bust line and pulls over your head without special closures. A seam at the natural waist and accompanying waist darts provide shaping. It’s fully lined, and —most importantly— it has pockets. It’s perfect for beginner’s to sew too.
The Tacara dress sewing pattern is a gorgeous loose fit cocoon silhouette with semi-fitted sleeves, in-seam pockets, and a hem that hits right above the knee. Maximize the cocoon shape by sewing with a stable merino jersey, or make it swishy with a drapey rayon knit.
