Yanta Overalls from Helen’s Closet

The Yanta Overalls are comfortable, modern, and fun to sew!

The Yanta is a laid back, artist-style pair of overalls with a comfortable fit through the waist, hips, and legs. This sewing pattern has some classic features such a V-shaped back and a pointed chest pocket, and the straps secured with buttons. Sew your Yanta Overalls as cropped pants or summery shorts. Both views have front and back patch pockets.

Choose medium to heavy weight woven fabrics such as cotton twill, denim (up to 10oz), linen, corduroy, and canvas. Crisp lightweight fabrics such as cotton and lightweight linen can also be used for a warm-weather pair. Use more drapey fabrics such as Tencel twill, wool crepe, or linen/viscose slub if you want to experiment with a softer and less structured look. This sewing pattern has been designed for intermediate sewers and comes in a good range of sizes from 0-30.
