When designer Frances Tobin first created The Maker’s Atelier, she had no idea how popular
it would become and now TMA celebrates its first birthday!

The Maker’s Atelier takes the key shapes from current fashion trends, refines them into clear dressmaking patterns, and then sources the perfect fabric. Frances’ belief that the simplest shapes in the finest materials make the most successful clothes has resonated with discerning dressmakers worldwide.

This month, The Maker’s Atelier celebrates its first year. The brand known for its beautifully crafted fashion sewing patterns has had an amazing year. As well as receiving great reviews, sales have doubled month on month since launch. Over the last year, The Maker’s Atelier has published two pattern collections, held exclusive dressmaking weekends, and recently introduced its unique Making-Kits.

We look forward to seeing the plans for the rest of this year as they include producing a new pattern each month, the expansion of the Making-Kits range, and the launch of The Maker’s Atelier club.
